| There are a couple of considerations when building an arena. | |
| Topic | Additional Information |
| First is the storage you have for your completed structure. | This determines what the arena is made of and how big it can be. |
| Second is the choice of the type of arena: is there going to be any banked roads or is the arena going to be flat on the playing surface, or combination. | This determines what the arena is made of. This also affects what the vehicles are mounted to; if cardstock or thick paper card and the arena is paper, vehicles slide off banks. The underside of the base must be made sticky like or grippy. Sometimes just a coat of matte finish paint keeps vehicles from sliding. |
