Game Mapper

Game Mapper, by author Wes Rogers, is hands-down one of the top Windows programs for drawing board game, campaign and battle maps up to 100 inches in size. The reason for the superiority of Game Mapper is as clear as the program is easy to use:

Numerous features for control of individual stamps or icons, both terrain and military symbols, commonly known as "chits" in the board game universe. All the typical icons are here: Infantry, Cavalry, Artillery, Armored, Armored Infantry, Artillery, and more. Plus, forts, depots, trains, buildings, castles and more.

Griding Maps numbers either with hexagons or square layouts, with full control over colors and sizes. Orient the hexagons as usual or with their points up, shift the map at any time, and with normal or row-column numbers.

  • Fill hexes with colors for hill and forest or draw the common "fanned contour hill outline" of 19th Century maps and cartographers, and place a variety of tree stamps art from Pine trees to orchards.

  • Line controls for end and beginning of line, thickness and of course color.

  • Draw a river or "3-Line" line, meaning a center line that is actually three lines; select the river color for the inner line and another color for the two river "bank" lines on both sides. Do the same for roads to show roads bordered by ditches.

  • Export to file features; like GIF, JPG, BMP. Start a scrap book or take the file to a copy service and blow it up REAL BIG! See a sample now!

We support Game Mapper with maps and scenarios in the War Games Archive and you can get Game Mapper from Wes Rogers' website.  More details on the archive and ordering information here.
