Survey Purpose

The purpose of this survey is to collect and establish actual data about interests regarding miniature gaming and conventions. Anyone can refer to this data for any purpose, but we imagine it will be used by gamers and vendors and conventioneers to support claims and statements, at least better than they are being supported now (which is zero apparently), because claims and statements cannot be made because no one has published data.

Why are we doing this?  Sales gimmick?

We are doing this quite simply because as far as we can find, no one has done this to any great degree, or at least, as much as this survey will attempt.  It has nothing to do with our services and products other than giving us some idea about who we, as gamers and vendors, are and what we want.

What happens to the data?

The data is being published on this site after processing in Microsoft Excel.  There's nothing fancy about the collection process; nothing like cgi scripting or forms processing or anything else.  The data is being emailed to us and we fill in the master spreadsheet.  It cost us nothing but time to do this, which is why we didn't pay some service to do it for us.

Who or what is going to draw conclusions?

The fact is, anyone can view the charts and draw their own conclusions; that's the purpose.  Black and white answers are just not possible.  Any conclusions should simply bear in mind the data is more a map of the Earth than map of your neighborhood.
