Note:
Whenever possible we
use Camcorders
for
high quality broadcasting; only when players wish to have table-surface views
(camera behind a tank or regiment for instance) do we use webcams. This
means our broadcast is as high a quality as can be achieved with current digital
technology.
1. IP Robotic Camera
(this page): (game table image may be shown below unless the camera is
disconnected) IP Camera (single): email us for the access password to
view this robotic camera.
2. oovoo: A/V and text
chat software: When we broadcast using vooVoo we host the Oovoo
page at the link above.
3. Skype: A/V and
text chat software: When we notify that we are
using Skype, look for imagine.image.multimedia inside Skype however, we are fans
of ooVoo because of it's multicam ability.
4. IP Cameras (email for
the http address) - multiple connected Camcorders/cameras to one IP device,
showing all four cameras on one web page simultaneously.
Using audio from a chat application and video from
several cameras, we can broadcast several angles of
a game table live, on the internet.
The IP webcam shown above is viewable by
everyone, so to communicate with us you'll still need to use Skype or oovoo.
The IP
Address for the camera above will be given out at time of the game and is viewable by more than one person at
a time. The IP camera
is robotic and controllable by persons viewing the camera.
And now, using oovoo, you do not even have to download
anything; simply access the oovoo page above and join the meeting; no
personal information of yourself or anyone else is involved.
Usually we use Camcorders so the quality is far
better
than typical webcams and they use optical zoom, so the
experience is very close to actually being at the gaming table in our
studio. We never know far in advance when a
game
will occur but if you want to play a game, just email; we can do Hex Command
games from ancient times to WW2, including Oceans, Hex Command Starships and
Raptors Air Combat. Hex Command NOVA and Time Driver, because of their
skirmish/adventure level are not likely to be broadcast.
