Lessons Learned Time Driver post RockCon
(Rockford Illinois game convention Oct 26 2019)
Although one always wishes at some point the play testing will no longer be required such is not the case. It was a successful game however and had 3 players with one player signing up early, which almost NEVER happens.
Mission/Episode Cards require some editing. The Episode cards need to be adjusted for clarity about what happens when the card is completed, or at its outset, edited to make the card less boring. The reason "boring" cards exist is because the game is attempting to create non-threatening missions.
However, convention gamers are looking for action, therefore, prior to the con, remove all "non-violent" or non-complicated missions.
Missions that involve a NPC need to be adjusted as well, for instance, what happens when the NPC is no longer needed? Is a NPC permanently buddied up with the player character? The card art will be available as a download soon.
