Hex shaped markers deprecated. Round is cheaper better especially when using 1.5 inch round product hang tags and the art we provided; print and stick on the hang tag then put the tag under the clear base to show status of a mech.

The rules contained an error on the opening statement page regarding the AC5, 10, 20. A 'cannon' is a cannon yes, but like HCM, their flavors are Light, Medium and Heavy. So just like HCM, Light has two shots each time, Medium and Heavy and larger are one shot. However, in this era GATTLING cannons are available so yes, a light gun can have -yikes- four barrels meaning 6 shots, and for medium and heavier 4 barrels is 4 shots so my god. However, it could be said that HEAVY gattlings are a little unreasonable but for now just I would day, dont try to face heavy mechs that have gattlings. You will lose.

After pics; slight touch ups and troops added; note these die cast HT's are closer to 1/76 than 1/72 as the figures sit too tall on the seats as below, but the slightly oversize does draw emphasis which is good. I chose not to go nutty on the repaint so as to maintain the realism and battle wear. Obviously the gunner is a very exposed target.

after and before repainting, US Revel 1/72 infantry; black shoes work better than brown, even though brown shoes were the most common I have to believe the appeared black in the field due to use. Also, the bayonet should really be grey instead of silver. The kneeling firing figure is Esci as evidenced by the totally wrong way he is firing his rifle: the rifle is above his armpit and when he pulls the trigger, this rifle is going to launch itself backwards.

10-6-2020 An updated way of writing the text above: "1/72 WW2 Hills for 1/72 WW2 games may have to be 3 times as big in table area occupation in order to prevent vehicle sizes from looking so big compared to the hills; in 1/72 WW2, each hex represents 25 yards whereas in Horse and Musket each hex represents 50 to 100 yards. In fact, on all small game tables, the presence of hills would be vastly diminished compared to the horse and musket era. Essentially, a 2x2 gaming surface could be said to represent the top of a plateau, ridge or hill."

Document in box is updated: 1/72 WW2 vehicles have a visual inconsistency when used with established terrain for 1/72 Horse and Musket era where each hex represents 50 to 100 yards and one unit an entire battalion. As such, it is recommended that when playing 1:1 (at least for vehicles) unit size games, all terrain must find a compromise between hill, trees (no smaller than 2”) and vehicle heights. Hills for 1/72 WW2 games may have to be taller thus occupy more flat table space. To easily see a visual idea of the issue, imagine a Tiger II tank or JagdTiger model next to a 3x3 hex hill: the tank is way out of visual acceptability.

1.2 Rules Changes 1. Range bands can remain as is for Hex Command, though changing to bands of 1 hex for small arms and 2 hex for artillery might be more appropriate: Auto, Color, Code, CnC, Ineffective (aka “Rifled” bonus hex: CnC.) Note that all weapons at the extreme band should technically only cause incremental hits. 1.3 Movement 1. Movement distances might need to be changed to one hex for everything but cavalry: 2 hexes per move, and roads +1 hex

After testing... Why 1/72 Scale WW2 or Mechanized Doesn't work with 2x2 ft game table 1. The narrow small table focus of the terrain increases the visual displacement of tree and building size with vehicle size, whereas on a larger game table this would be overshadowed by the shear expanse of the battlefield terrain. This would not be the case with 15mm WW2 vehicles. 2. Height of Forest and Hills: similarly, when a vehicle reaches the top of a hill that in the Horse and Musket games might not look so out of place, the size of the vehicle is dramatically more visual if the hill is not large enough; imagine a small single hex hill and a vehicle sitting on it: if the vehicle looks to large for the hex, the scale probably isnt right. 3. This may lead to a new axiom for hill size: no hill should exist on any size game table that is smaller than at least 3x3 hexes, and rarely if ever just a single row of hexes (a ridge). The minimum should be three hexes wide by 6-10 hexes long. 4. Size of bridges. Due to the fact that a vehicle should be able to exist on a bridge, bridge size has to be larger than in Horse and Musket 1/72 games where it can just be representation of a bridge crossing and can be smaller than figure size by several degrees e.g. a 15mm bridge can be used with 1/72 figures as well as 15mm buildings instead of 1/72 scale buildings.
