2x2 Game Table and WW2 1/72 scale

Note that it may not be possible to use 1/72 scale WW2 in a 2x2 game table because it will look odd; trees and hill heights and building sizes are going to be accentuated; trees may be the correct height for comparison with a Sherman tank, but next to a 1" tall hill, where the trees are not supposed to be taller than a hill in reality. These kinds of visual things are going to be noticed far more in a confined setting than in say a 4x4 ft table, even though in truth, a 2x2 game table is just a focused segment of a 4x4 or larger game table. For this reason, 15mm may look more appropriate in a 2x2 setting.

An updated way of writing the text above:

"1/72 WW2 Hills for 1/72 WW2 games may have to be 3 times as big in table area occupation in order to prevent vehicle sizes from looking so big compared to the hills; in 1/72 WW2, each hex represents 25 yards whereas in Horse and Musket each hex represents 50 to 100 yards. In fact, on all small game tables, the presence of hills would be vastly diminished compared to the horse and musket era. Essentially, a 2x2 gaming surface could be said to represent the top of a plateau, ridge or hill."
