Digital and Physical Maps for Sale
These maps are available as both physical mail order and digital downloads (for you to print yourself at your selected print provider). In most cases they are drawn in high detail and with components that can be removed or added on request, but in other cases are older maps which are adequate for gaming and of lesser resolution. Maps that are low resolution will be signified as such on the product name.
The default of all maps is showing hills and forest. Prior to ordering contact us if you want those to be removed from your map. And remember we can produce a digital file you can print at your local provider or 36" width from us with ANY graphic and ANY grid.
By removing artwork of hills, forest, names etc., so only rivers and roads remain, the map is
not "locked in" to any particular look and feel and the map can be used in many different ways.
Shipping maps will be in a round tube or square tube with a flat rate of $15 CONTUS (each
tube can fit two maps), with rest of world being a flat $35 (or refunded difference if a less
expensive service with quickest delivery is discovered). The maps will NOT be shipped with
any protective spray coating.
Contour Hills (shown at right>>) instead of Hexagons: Let us know if you want the hexagon hills
shown on any map you purchase to be replaced with contour outlines of four levels for each hill.
We will do this at no charge for the editing. Each level will have a slightly different color.
"Legal Hills:" Where our maps show hills of rounded shapes with a top layer being hexes,
this implies the hill is meant to be layers of hill material such as 6mm thick Foamies, to
produce a contoured effect. Of course you can cut hill shapes from a single piece of foam but the intention of "Legal Hills" is for a strict enforcement of shapes from one map to the other, so a map of roads and rivers is not locked into any particular time and place in history.
Of course, the map art you supply to us can have any shape of hills you like, but producing three dimensional actual wargaming hills of complicated shapes is a challenge... unless you are really good with a hot knife and Styrofoam. In some of the maps in our catalog, you will see they are just roads/rivers.
All our shipped maps are rolled in plastic bags and placed into either round or square shipping tubes.
Typical production and preparation for delivery is days from receipt of order for artwork that does not require any editing.
Artwork changes produce a 5-10 day work and consultation period before production is started after receipt of order.
Refuns
No "Refuns" (Teddy on Youtube) are provided because these are digital files. For phyiscal rolls however, you can ship it back to us at shipper's expense and we can then refund your purchase but why bother? The cost of shipping is more than the price of the map.
