Updated Map from Pea Ridge
This apparently is the map available at the Park. If this map is the same reputable author as the map I have for Shiloh, I will take this as the most accurate of the battle. Note however that this map does not show the central area to be elevated from the orchard at the north to Winton(?) springs in the South except for what is curiously called the "knoll" and in that case I dont know if that means it is an elevation. So unfortunately, the way I have chosen to show this area (in the scenario doc) as a big elevation will be at-grade instead. Remember the area of Cox's field I think is where that Union Grand Advance took place but even here, a forest is shown above Pratt's cornfield(s) when I was not aware of that before :( . Elk Horn Tavern is just off the map at the crossroads mid-right side. Also note: nothing here just to the left of the tavern is labeled "Pea Ridge."
