Why the Board Game Excalibur?
Anyone who has visited this site over the many years now has probably realized we are big fans of the artwork and the game system employed in that old board game Excalibur from Wotan Games. What continues to astonish us is the extent of the work involved in creating that artwork and in fact the entire system and thus, as we recognize it is or was essentially one of the first "Civ" type games, decided to use it for many campaign concepts. Using it for Hex Command NOVA was a foregone conclusion. SpaceFarers of Cataan comes to mind these days, but the fact is we just love using the map and reinterpreting it for our needs. Members to this website can see our attempts and results deeper than non-members, in order to keep our upload system secure.
