2021 Update
Hello subscribers,
This is a quick update to let you know our status on creating an online campaign using Berthier software and the board game Excalibur for a Hex Command NOVA Space Campaign. If you have been watching the website you can see we've done a LOT of work to get this off the ground and lemme tell ya it is WAY worth it.
Why? There is NOTHING out there on the internet like this. This work establishes a foundation from which many other things can follow and I for one am really encouraged because of what Wix has in the background architecture for database interaction. We are definately on to something, and especially for historical gaming as well.
As you can see and read, the development is far underway and more details will be coming out soon enough. I am encouraged because this breathes new life into the old BattleTech universe and now that we are printing our own models, it tells us a LOT about the future of miniature war gaming: example: For a $300 investment I have printed over $2k (retail) worth of models for the cost of just hours and $50 worth of filament.
The only thing that cant be done yet is the printing of the soldiers themselves; for this we are sticking with the 20-25mm sci-fi figures on the market cast in metal, and we still hope that makers start switching to plastic injection.
