Playing the game without Wind
If wind is not a factor in the game, the reality of maneuver sailing is not present in the game. To attempt to avoid ships from becoming just moving forts or "tanks" on the water, whenever a change in facing is attempted all ships must roll Color (Blue) to successfully change facing but if failing, 1d10 on Captain Tactical value (rolling higher) can allow the facing to occur, failing the roll however suffers a drop in 1 hex speed PLUS the lack of making the facing attempt. Players can ignore this rule as well but realize the game will lose a great deal of accuracy and become more like a dog-fight on the water.
